Yesterday I was preparing a surprise for my boyfriend as it is his birthday and he lives in the North of France he thought I was having a regular day at work like he was, except that I was not today I had taken a day off to bake him a birthday cake, cook him dinner and surprise him at his place !
And as he is a chocolate lover you can imagin that my choice of birthday cake was not very original. I decided to bake a chestnust cream & chocolate fondant, knowing that he does not like chestnut I took the risk as Nanie from « Les Douceurs de la Famille Praline » mentionned that she also did not like chestnut cream but that mixed in chocolate it was divine with a lovely texture. Oh boy Nanie was right! It had just an amazing texture and such a yummy taste…
As I have a small cake mold I only used 2/3 of the ingredients of the recipe, so see below my recipe with my measures.
Ingredients :
– 66 grams of dark chocolate
– 66 grams of butter
– 233 grams of chestnut cream
– 2 eggs
– 7 grams of all-purpose flour
Instructions :
Melt the chocolate and the butter in the microwave
Add the chestnut cream then the eggs one by one
Finally add the flour then pour the mixture in a buttered cake mold
Then bake in a pre-heated oven at 180°C for 25 min.
